10 Gallon Stocking List?

Thanks for the recommendations! Do you think a Betta can be kept with Shrimp?
It all depends on the temperate of the betta...

I personally find that dumbo ear bettas are the least aggressive type of bettas. That’s just my experience.

For example. My last betta was a male super delta tale/dumbo ear betta. He was cool with any fish being in his tank, along with snails/shrimp. My crowntail on the other hand, won’t tolerate any think in its tank.

If you try with shrimp just get one or two at first... that way if it is an aggressive betta he will only kill the first couple and not lots of them, then go from there ;)

Thanks so much for the input! What would you stock pygmy cories with?

The pygmy cories (in a group of 9-12) would work in stocking # 5, 7, 8 and 9, and maybe 10. You must have a sand substrate for cories.

The tank is 20" L x 10" W x 12" H
I couldn't find out the KH but the dGH is 7.5 and the pH is 7.2
Thanks for the advice!

That is a basic 10 gallon tank, OK.

The GH, presumably that is 7.5 dGH (degrees) and not 7.5 ppm. The decimal place would suggest it is dGH. So that is moderately soft to soft. That rules out the Endlers option as they must have moderately hard or harder water. The other options sould be OK from this perspective (parameters).

I didn’t think about Pygmy cories, good idea.

They must have sand as a substrate.

Ahh ok, that makes sense, thanks for the information. If I do end up getting a betta, I'll definitely keep that in mind.

Alright great! I was planning on putting sand in anyway:)

Thank you! This helps a lot, and I'll edit my list accordingly:)
