Got a new tank just after christmas - upgraded from 40l to 125 and changed from gravel to sand. Pics only on my phone - just got them on my pc.

First pic was the day I got it all set up - 29th dec 2004 - did'nt bother to cycle as I only had a small no. of fish and I used the old tank water/filter medium and the red slate pieces and some of the hygro. Added 5 new varieties of plants (5 pots and I divided the plants). And started to use a nutrafin co2 system for the 1st time.

Added some bog wood on New Years day - soaked in boiling water for 2 days. All the tanins were out so I was very happy.

And finaly today - 23rd January. Had a trim to the Hygo's esp on the left - this has now begun to bush out which looks better. Added some 3 more pots of plants (again divided), I know that one was a crypt! - to fill out some mid area gaps. Also added 5 shrimps and 6 harlequins. The shrimps wont stop crapping!!! Having to do a lot of hoovering with the gravel cleaner! :grr:

Thanks. Yes I added the added the root tabs I got free with the Nutrafin CO2 system I am using. It seems to have made a big difference.

That looks very nice mate

I want a tank like that but my lfs ( pets at home ) The plants are crazy money for 1 small plat its £2,99 and for 1 big one its £14,99 a real rip off, I was going to try it with fake plants but I know it wont look the same so i never bothered.
