if you know what i mean. occasionally losing its balance and going sideways
got 6 platy 5 male and 1 female pregnant
yes i know i need more female and quick just sexed them and found out shop gave me that group
whats wrong?

if fish lose their balance and act like they are drunk then it could be a swim bladder issue

We need more info that just that!

  • Size of aquarium?
  • Number and species of fish with them?
  • Do you do water changes, if so how much?
  • Do you test you water quality, if so what u test and what the results? Please please please don't just put "good"!
  • How long have you had the tank running?
  • How long have you had the fish?
  • Have you added any new fish lately?
Once we know a little more, we'll be able to help better.

thats only 19 fish.... do you have 19 or 30?

i would recommend weekly water changes instead of fortnightly

could the fish be injured by 1 of the tiger barbs? a group of 3 isnt ideal for your stocking as they are semi aggressive andbest kept in larger groups to keep any aggression between them selves

Could be many things, swimbladder and other internal problems is very possible.

Try treating with Protozin to see and do several water changes over the next 2 weeks, as these can help greatly.

There is treatments for swimbladder but cant think of the name. but never liked it personaly

I think they meant 90l or 30g?
