I found my pearl gourami today dead, by the time it was removed its head had disappeared.
usually im quite good at catching them when they do die and removing them asap but i was at work.

the rest of the fish seemed fine but when i came down i saw that at least 3-4 of the fish have red streaks through their faeces.
My severum are hiding under bushes beside the heater (but these do not show signs of blood faeces) and a lot of my cory's are facing my castle and quite sluggish until you put a net in and move them away.

i have ran ammonia, nitrate and nitrite tests and all are fine with 0.
I have put in some primafix and i have done a 25% water change.

Can anyone else suggest anything i can do to stop any further problems or if they might know the cause?

what do u feed them on
you might be better off doing a swap with your plec and ottos aswell cos your plec would love a bigger tank
if yor water is soft you ph may have crashed especially if it is an established tank. ph is as important as any other test.
prima or colour enhancing food does produce red poo. If it was white or stringy it would indicate worms or if the fish had bloodstreaked fins it would indicate poisoning due to water quality or a bad bacterial infection

another one has passed away, the cory which we saw was ill has now passed on despite being full of energy.
I am going to do a ph and high ph test in a second but there is still signs of blood streaks through their faeces before i put prima in.
Their poo is thick and brown/grey but you can see red strands through it :(

How many fish are producing feces with blood in it.

Does it look like blood or just a red colour.
