1 Big(ish) Fish

Hey, i was wondering, i have a juwel vision 180, and currently have the following fish 1 Male Bristlenose Pleco, 1 Clown Pleco, 2 Pearl Gourami's, 2 Clown Loach's, 10 Neon Tetra's, 5 Harlequin's, 1 RTBS, 2 Golden Algae Eater's, 4 Peppered Cory's, 4 Mollies, 5 Platy's, 1 Penguin Tetra, 3 Green Tiger Barbs, 3 Albino Tiger Barbs, 1 Silver Dollar and 1 Common Pleco (Soon To Be Re-homed - PM Me If You Are Interested).
i really like big-ish fish, and lone fish.
i was wondering, could anyone recommend a fish that i could keep in my juwel vision 180 that would look nice on its own, if i was to re-home all my fish and to just get the one fish.
All comments welcome.

oh, forgot to say, i am a huge fan of Oscars, but dont think i could keep on in my tank. but if i could please could someone let me know.
any fish that are similar to oscars that are a smaller size?

i like the look of discus but i have heard they are quite hard to look after. am i correct?

yes you are, and you would have to get rid of the RTBS the clown loaches and the silver dollar anyway theyre gonna get too big

What type of fish do you like? Cichlids, oddballs?

My suggestion for a lone big(ish) fish would be a rainbow wolffish, I really like this fish and wish I had the extra space to keep one. They grow to about 8" and are highly predatory.

For cichlids I'd be looking at a fish no larger than 7" or so as I think the vision 180 is only 12" wide at the ends. I'd probably go for a pair of 6" fish - angels (if height allows) convicts, sajica, honduran red point, blue acara, Firemouth (or any Thorichthys), rainbow cichlid - you get the idea.

yeah, i know, shame really since i really like my silver dollar.. even though he only have 1 eye.
i got him from my lfs for free, since the man didnt think anyone would buy him and i was interested in him. he's got lovely colours and eats well.
The RTBS i got given him from a friend, who was selling their tank so offered him to me. but didnt tell me how big he'd get. also he's rather aggressive towards my golden algae eaters. but is pretty to look at.

hmm.. i do like cichlids. are tehy easy ish to keep.. and as for the wolf fish. they are pretty in their own way. but if their highly predatory then i dont think i'd like to get one. since im not too keen on highly predatory fish.
The sajica look nice. are they a handful? peaceful etc?
Also the blue acara is very nice.. what are they like?
also can both the fish above be kept on their own? or in pairs?

The sajica are relatively peaceful for cichlids and blue acara's similar, but abit more aggressive I would say. Aggression increases when breeding with all cichlids.

I wouldn't call either fish a handful, no specialist demands or anything like that.

You could keep the fish on their own, in a pair or you could try 1 sajica and 1 blue acara - There's a chance it won't work but I'd be willing to give it ago.

If you go for the blue acara option becareful of buying a green terror, they are hard to tell apart when young and theres alot of cases of people buying green terrors thinking they were blue acaras.

no discus and no oscar, the tank is far to small.
