from what i have read about killifish, they're best in a species only tank. they are better in a tank with their own species of killifish too so you shouldn't mix two different species of killifish. the females don't have much color for most of killifish species.

i wouldn't return the red tailed shark just because it is known to be aggressive. the tank is large enough for one red tailed shark to be ok in it. just closely monitor it to make sure that it doesn't get too aggressive. a lot of aggressive behavior can be solved by having more places to hide...

you probably should get more danio. i don' know about the cory i have never had one but am thinking of adding some to one of my tanks. danios are much happier in a group. mine always stick together chasing each other around.

canisters do a better job and there are canister options for a 20 gallon but they are more expensive than hob filters. for a 20 gallon if you want better filtration you can get a hob filter made for a higher gallon recommendation that would do a great job too for cheaper if you are worried...

yeah your flash needs to be off and try use the lights from your hood. faster moving fish wil usually be blurry but the slower ones usually take some time to stop moving around so much and that's when i click. usually multiple tries gets one or two good shots.
