Large Bundle Of Mixed Java Fern Colchester Essex

Hi there. I have no idea what its worth? Sorry, hence just asking for some anubias in exchange. I would consider exchange taking other things in part exchange. I know that i need a proper net, while wouldn't mind things like tests kits, water conditioner, pest snails for my puffers etc etc etc...

    Please Measure Your Fluval Fx-5

I just could not do it, hacking into the cabinet is not an option for me what so ever. I may have to resort to running three individual filters so to get the required turnover. I currently have a Eheim 2028 professional (1050 l/ph and rated for up to 600L aquarium). I then may purchase two...

    Please Measure Your Fluval Fx-5

Hmm would you mind checking for me? It appears that the 2078s are also too tall. From research it looks like the biggest eheim i cam fit is a 2075... which is only rated for 600L aquariums with 1250 liters per hour... Not much better than the 2028 i currently have... May just have to run three...

    Please Measure Your Fluval Fx-5

I thought i did. I have two cupboards either side of the centre (the aquarium is 7 foot long). But none the less, i couldnt have any of the filter showing from the front. Hmm, would tilting be dangerous though, i dont fancy 800L on my lounge floor... Are there any other filters people can...

    Please Measure Your Fluval Fx-5

Well my cabinet (i have four seperate ones) are each 21" deep and 21" wide. Its just height that is the cap at 20". Hmm i do not think i quite follow? do you mean have the pipe clamps and pipes hanging out the front of the cabinet and then going to the back? If that is what you meant, i just...

    Please Measure Your Fluval Fx-5

    Please Measure Your Fluval Fx-5

Tell me about it mate. I'ce managed to cancel the transaction on the eheim 2250, but now have nothing i can replace it with! Ah darn it, i only have 20" in height.... Does anyone have an exact measurement for me??

    Please Measure Your Fluval Fx-5

Can someone please measure the height of their fluval fx-5! Different websites state different things. I want to know how much height my cabinet needs to have in order to get one in and running (hoses etc included). Please help, thanks.

Filtration Question For Large Aquarium Owners

I have a feeling the 55cm height is including the fixed intake outtake nodes ontop (sorry for inproper language there). At the moment im contemplating two eheim 2075's to work with my 2028, giving a total output of 3550 l/p/h. That is pending i can get hold of two second hand... Or has anyone...

Filtration Question For Large Aquarium Owners

Right people, i have cancelled the transaction on the 2250... I was just going to go out and buy a fx5 and be done with it. However i have a problem, my cabinet measurements are 21" high, 20" wide and 24" deep... (i have four these) I am having a problem with the height of the cuboards... most...

Rena 200w Smart Heater Swap For Anything!

Hi all, i have a Rena 200W Smart Heater (Themic Alert, Incassable Unbreakable etc etc), still in its original box. It has however had a replacement plug put on it, please be aware of this although it still works perfectly fine. Basically i do not need it at all, so what have you got to swap...

Filtration Question For Large Aquarium Owners

I have attached a very quick paint.doc picture of my setup in simple terms. You can see the 3-d background, on the left is my smaller eheim 2028 intake/outtake, and on the right in my larger eheim 2250 intake/outtake, along with a 500W heater. Depending how the 500W keeps the water temp, i also...

Filtration Question For Large Aquarium Owners

Apon review, it would appear a powerhead or wavemaker would be beneficial. Im looking at a twin head 12000lph wave maker atm, can't believe how cheap they are. This should help with surface movement and general circulation. Also in terms of my filtration, it would appear a few of you under-rate...

Filtration Question For Large Aquarium Owners

This forum always has been about arguments / debates and who knows best (been on here for many many years) Bottom of the line, everyone has different opinions and different things work for different people. I've brought the 2250. I am not keeping monster fish. I've my heart set on angelfish, a...

Filtration Question For Large Aquarium Owners

Well got my eye on a Ehiem 2250 at the moment, it would fit in my cabinet nicely as smaller than the 2260, but still pumps out 2,400 l/p/h. This coupled with my current ehiem would give me around 3,400 l/p/h. Otherwise i'd have to contemplate a fluval fx5, but it would be a squeeze in the cabinet.

Filtration Question For Large Aquarium Owners

The APS2000 are actually £126 the pair at the moment inc delivery. Hmm im still undecided. I wont be stocking this 7 footer with monster fish... I’d much prefer happier and healthy smaller fish with plenty of room. Argh decisions!

Filtration Question For Large Aquarium Owners

Hmm im tempted by two of the All Pond Solution 2000EFs. PFK amongst other places highly rate it. Even though im sure the 2000 l/p/h is less in real life, two of them coupled with my other 1050 l/p/h filter should do the trick? Thats over 5000 L per hour 6.25 times my volume. So even if they are...

Filtration Question For Large Aquarium Owners

Thanks for all the lovely advice people. This is not my first tank, i've been in the hobby for a number of years in fact. But this is by far my biggest, having only kept a 4 foot before. I was just trying to kid myself into saving on the filtration - having spent so much on the setup already, and...

Filtration Question For Large Aquarium Owners

Hmm ok, can any suggest a filter then? Something affordable please, i dont have £200 for a fx5 (plus cost of media) atm, and second hand ones are still hard to come by (or certainly not selling too cheapily).
