I do the same. I try to fill up the space with plants and it ends up looking as it should be. Plants do miracles, I think.

If your tank is 2 years already... have you kept those fish for that long? If so, they might have died of mass aging. The Ammonia spike might have accelerated their death. :) I have heard some people said you need to prepare to restock every two years. Mine is pure guessing though.

Mattt, you are right. It's becoming like a layer of brown algae is covering some of them. I think it's called Dwarf Hairgrass. I was hoping that they grow and spread out covering the entire tank. But given my light level, I think I expected too much. :blush:
