    Rena Tank 140g

Cool, We found them a little weak, but got 8 LED's and they are easy to position, once your eyes adjust though they are not to bad, I like your substrate it looks like Grey / Black sand,? Is that right, and the plant on the left is good.

    Rena Tank 140g

Ah weird, thanks though, I have 2 X 300 W heaters that were with the tank, both are set to 25 D, and obviously they turn themselves off when the temp is reached. They do kick off some heat, our lounge has never been so warm, there are 4 bulbs so not suprising on the heat. not a problem...

    Rena Tank 140g

Oh, I have just worked out by your calculations and I have come up with the following for our tank, could you just double check them for me please, cause I have been told otherwise. 201 X 51 X 79, it works out at 810 litres, and 214 G, it does not sound right to me.

    Rena Tank 140g

Nice tank RVM, Just thought I should let you know, the tank is 84G, just in case you have to use any treatment's in the future, other wise you will overdose you tank by about 56 Gallons. An idea for building up the height of your tank decoration, build up loads of bog wood. I like the...

    Parot Fish

Hi sorry knowone has replied, you should be ok, Parrots can and most probably will be terrotorial, if you keep a pair they tend to follow each other and give each other occasional greif. Depending on size of the Parrots to smaller ones would be best, but they do grow fairly quick depending on...

    140 (uk) Gallon (Page 8 & 9)

 Hi Steph, thanks for your comments, All you need is bubble pipe, all LFS should sell it. We use the light blue tube, can't remeber what it is called, they sell it in all sorts of lengths, with weights to keep it down. You can buy 1" to 48". We run 2 48" joined together. Then all...

    My new tank

Good looking tank, I would go with a community, It is just so good to look at different things, get the tank cycled, and whilst it does this read up on some fish books, to get an idea of what you want. Can't wait to see the finished result. Good luck

    Canister filter media?

I run an XP3 and a Eheim 2229 WET/DRY. The Rena is good, easy to clean and prime, and has good flow rates. I think you should stick with the media provided with the filters, adding maybe some Ceramic Rings. Depends on what you will be keeping I suppose. It is a big old TAnk by the sounds of it. :D

need a timer for my lights

If it helps, I just use one of those same timers, with the sections you push up and down to set the time for on and off, Touch wood never had any problems. I don't see why you cannot use them with flor bulbs, as they to are switched on and off. WEIRD.
