Have a look for "Aqua-sed". I think I got mine from Charterhouse Aquatics. It's a fish anaesthetic, but used at 4 times overdose it euthanases fish quickly and peacefully. It sounds awful, but I have a lot of fish and its good to know it's in the cabinet if ever I need it.

Hi I had a U1 in my 30l and had the same problem. I used 3 of the fluval Biomax ceramic thingys. Carefully stood them upright in the bottom of the filter and droped the sponge back on top. Worked a treat :good:

OOOOOhhhhh Black card ! not even considered that ! There is no way of getting behind it without a strip down, but it may well be possible to peel the bubbly background off and slide a sheet of card behind without too much shouting, swearing and gnashing of teeth. See... I knew you guys were good !
