    Dying

    I was having trouble with white spot and ?fin rot but i couldn't add salt as there is a loach in the tank. I raised the temp and used Protozin and also melafix. This treatment was started 6 days ago and i could see an improvement in 2 days. Sorry to hear about your losses :-( Lynn

    Gouramis

    I have 2 honey-red gouramis in my community tank and they are not aggressive. These fish will even take food from my hand. They are a lovely colour and have always been docile with the other fish.

    vacuum gravel?

    I rinse the filter media in the tank water that has been removed(during water change) every 2-3 weeks depending on how much poo the fishes are passing :lol: I only clean part of the gravel each time. Hope this helps Lynn

    Heater Eplosion

    I am unsure how long the fish can survive but at the moment my heaters have not been switching on due to the temp being ok because of the warm weather. Even though it has been raining loads it is still warm and the tank temps are fine. Hope this helps :) Lynn

    Hot water

    I have had the same probs with temp because of the heat in general at this time of year. I was advised to put icecubes into a plastic bag and float the bag on top of tank water. It brought the temp down great and not to quickly. Hope this helps :) Lynn
