I had brown gravel in the past, but it looked so dull and dark. I got the blue to try and brighten it up a bit.

I keep my 2 angelfish with 5 rainbowfish, 6 cory cats, 1 BN pleco, and 7 Nerite Snails. So far everyone is getting along very well.

Well I'm an idiot... the tank is 2 1/2 feet long (30 inches).

All information I found states Diamond Tetras get to 3 inches not 3 feet.

Sorry about your fish loss :( You can get an API Master Test Kit. It is liguid and a little pricey, but it has tests for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
