I just wanted to know if i got a fish that requires 1 teaspoon of salt per imperial gallon of water will it kill the other fish in my tank such as mollies, platties and swortails (plus their fry) and apple snails.

Yeah that is the advice i had and it works great. the fishes stomach area will become so big it will look abnormal and the fish will stick out from the others. that will be the prgnant one. i did onse look for the tube but i could not see it.

em i dont really know. if it is dead it should float to the top :dunno: . if it is only one fry i cannot imagine it will do much damage. i assume your tanks has mostly mollies which are quite hardy. if it does not come to the surface it will probobly get sucked into the filter or something...

yeah nice sword tails ther i have two pinapple onse but they are both male. just wondering how do you photograph them. i have a digital camera but the flash blocks the picture or without flash the picture comes out supper blurry?

I believe Yenko is correct but with the little experience of tanks I have had and read about I have found transferring water and medias between tanks can cause/spread diseases which I can only assume is not good for pregnant fish or fry so be careful. (But I am not sure)

The gravel does not fizz when you add vinegar and I am sure it is not coral so probably something like sand
