I hit up craigs list for a new tank. I noticed allot of people are askin $150+ for as small as 20 gallons including filter heater gravel ect. which is fine and dandy, but come on 150? is it just me or is that ridiculous? my 50 was 115+filter made 165+ gravel and water treatment about 200. so why...

I haven't seen this before, one of my zebra danios has a weird bump that looks kinda like an adams apple on the bottom of his body. well i guess it doesnt look like an adams apple per say, but if a fish had an adams apple thats where it would be.

hey! my parents 29 gallon bio cube had an ammonia spike over the weekend, found a huge cluster of waste in the filter. anyhoo, handled that problem ad did a 50% water change, we let it sit for about 2 hours and re tested the ammonia and its still off the charts :blink: i did full tests on...

fish will chase laser pointers around like crazy. i only did it once cuz im not sure if its harmful, point laser at the open gravel and they all buzz towards it lighting fast and will chase it around forever.

Hey I know lots of you already know this but, If you are planning on getting florescent tube lighting you should hit up a hardware store first before spending money at a local pet store. I wanted some 18" 30 watt 5000k bulbs a couple of months ago. Petsmart , petco and tropical kingdom wanted...

i have some plants that look healthy but break easy. and there is one fish that was never heard from again... but ive torn the place apart and havent found him

a bit rushed so forgive compression. Everythings fine in my tank for a month. BOOM wake up and my amonia is off the cahrts. so i did a 25% water change, it got better as the day went on. next morning BOOM! right back to a toxic level! a few fish hovering at the bottom of the tank or drifting...

well all I know about the ammonia is that the meter i have says its in between .02 ppm and .05 ppm. the nites i cant tell right now. if you could tel me what they should be at roughly i'll look into getting them fixed.

Hey :lol: thanks for hit, PH is 7.2 Ammonia is at 0.03 an for the nitatrates and such i have no idea :unsure: i keep my temp around 78-79 ...Celsius... just kidding of course!

yeah fin rot sounds about right via google thanks. any suggestions for that? in my other tank i have three longfin zebra danios acting odd.

OK! i've had my tanks for about 2 months now with very little losses. I know these fish down to the scale so I can tell when somethings up. In my 20 gal about 1/3 of the fish have started swimming up and down the walls... allot! and acting very hyper, which is a complete change from their usual...
