I plan to get a bigger tank in the next few months, once Pearl grows a bit as she is still tiny. I am keeping my eye out for a bargain :)

I went to my local fish shop who gave me a demonstration on how to use the gravel cleaner we have - I am a pro at it now (a few incidents of swallowing some tank water by addident, but I am pretending it didn't happen) haha!

Thought I would let everyone know that whilst I had a few casualties, Pearl one of our original fish is still with us and doing very well! I am doing small water changes on a regular basis, and even feeding her some frozen fleas once a week! Thanks for all the advice in caring for her :)

I have two small fancy goldfish in a 38l tank. Unfortunately I was not aware of the cycle a tank goes through before buying the fish, which is why I have since bought the kit and am now monitoring it closely. I have been doing the regular water changes as advised on this forum.

Thanks for the idea, I fed them a pea last night so hopefully they will perk up a bit. They were both still sat near the bottom of the tank this morning, but in a normal position (ie not with their heads down and tails up) and when they heard me they came swimming up.

They are very cute. Can I ask where you got them from? Only normally baby hamsters should not leave their siblings until they are around 6 weeks old, your babies look very small still! Are they being house seperately?
