Ive a juwel 300 running the standard juwel 400 in tank filter along with a tetratec 1200 external filter, can this be over kill for the tank? i have around 13 malawi cichlids and 2 large plecs in the tank at the moment. Thanks

Them rocks and slate look very nice in the tank, where did you get them?

Ive a digi and wouldnt change it for anything else, i think with the digi you get a better temp reading.

Im on the hunt for some black sand or some small grain gravel, enough to fill a rio 300. Thanks.

Why does it have to be inside tank? i dont think you will get anything in tank unless its a 3d background ect. You can get tank paint and paint the back of the tank or get a plain black background that can be placed on the outside of tank also.

Id like to have some slate inside my tank with the ocean rock for my malawi cichlids to hide in ect, what slate is safe/best to use? Thanks.

Ill be using the same external filter all i will be doing is doing a full water change as ill be cleaning the tank inside and adding new coral sand ect. If i add normal fresh water (full tank, 350L) surely id do harm to the fish?

Soon ill be changing my sand to coral and doing a full tank clean inside (glass ect) ill also be adding new ocean rock ect, Now with the tank having new fresh water cant be good for the fishys.. Could i use tetra safe start and tetra aquasafe so i can add the fish right away once the tank has...

Anyone know of anywhere online where does the best deals on ocean rock? Ive changed my setup to malawi cichlids but need plenty more rock for my 4FT tank. Our local pet store is wanting £80 for 25k :blink:

I was always told/thought never keep more than one shark in beside each other as they will all fight till death?

Take some water out your tank and clean them all, i clean my tetratec every month with fish water and have had no problems yet. EDIT: scrap that just noticed it a marine setup you have!

LOL! Ive had a look on a few tropical sites at stocking but cant make my mind up :( ive thought about cichlids as they seem to be the most colourful fish that i can find at the moment :) I can see this been very expensive to fill :lol:
