Where do i get fish from

Yes, bridgemere have marines - and the new shop is way way better than the old one. But, better than that - a weekend visitor will get the pleasure of me serving them :P But the fish are good, whatever the staff :P

Where do i get fish from

If it's Leek in Staffordshire - you want Ripples at Bridgemere Garden World. Great selection of very healthy marines. That's where mine will be coming from :)

    Damn Snails!

I'm told clown loaches eat them. That was my first job at work... which was slightly annoying (chasing clown loaches that is - not eating snails) :P

    Easiest to Breed?

In my experience, guppies every time. Your problem won't be breeding them - but getting rid of them once you've bred them :)

Made a few at various places. Might get round to uploading them sometime :)

Franz Ferdinand. I thought it fits quite well as well, I nearly always use it on fish films :)

how can i tell if cetrain fish are pregnate?

Nobody ever does want guppies! I'm crowded out with them, and if you think that's bad... (picture from Stapeley Water Gardens Aquarium) Anyway, I rely on the platies getting somewhat swollen as an indication that we have yet more new arrivals!!

    BABY SWORDS!

I remember the first time my platy gave birth. It was an enormous shock, as it had only been in the tank 12 hours :)

    Neon Tetras

Mine are often like that first thing in the morning, and they were ok as my (thinks back 15 months) third fish, the day after the first two. Happy Neons :)

    MY CuTie-uGLy TanK

doesn't normally hide much, out and about, especially where there's food :) Nice guppies - but in small doses and they were beginning to take over!!

    Platy Pics!

I thought it was only tiger barbs that were evil. I wanted some of them, but couldn't for that reason. Our cherry barbs are getting on fine with the other occupants of the tank, and the eggs of the others are gradually hatching. Development in that tank can be followed here

Another problem with the kuhli loaches.

My current ones aren't that bad. If you put some catfish food in the tank, they'll crawl over and eat it from underneath a plant, but you can see them, and they were particularly hyperactive the first night we got them home - but it didn't last :)

    Platy Pics!

Two fairly small breeding tanks (see pic) (one cherry barbs and one zebra danios at the moment). The mystery size tank, and the newish 240 litre tank. And the goldfish :) The zebra danios are about the right size now, and are slowly being introduced into the smaller community tank, and given to...

    Hello

Yeah, I think I'll be around for a while. I've only been on three hours, and I'm addicted :) Also enjoyed conversation on platies as well as being made to feel welcome on this forum :) Expect more pics over the weekend :)

    Seahorses can i keep them?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought seahorses were much happier kept in a species tank. And yes, the big tropical marine tank at the Deep is fascinating, I'd love to have a tank like that :)

    Livebears-platty,guppy, mollie, swords...

It's nice to have a few livebearer young, but as I agree it gets ridiculous in a very short space of time :)

    Some Of My Angels

Angelfishes had gone weird, it seemed to be impossible to find one (in any of my loacal shops anyway) that was the normal silver pattern with the normal black stripes instead of weird patterns and different colours that just didn't look right (possibly like the orange thing pictured above :P)

    impulse buy

I've just been told it's apparently one of three things - most likely the first two :) 1. Whiptail 2. Farowella (sp.) 3. Horseface loach As far as I know, there fine for community tanks, we've got the first two and they've been no problem - nice fish :)

Another problem with the kuhli loaches.

From what I've heard, khuli loaches like hiding in filters, reminds me of an amusing story of emptying the fish tank when we moved house... :) It took ages to find the stupid thing :)

    Platy Pics!

Live plants? but of course :) Not sure about the size of that tank. it's quite an old one, and isn't in one of the official size thingys, you know what I mean :) I've got both guppies and platies, and I'm beginning to wish I'd never got the guppies!! Throw in successful zebra danio breeding...

Seahorses or clown fish in the UK

Shirley Aquatics in Birmingham usually have one or two. I'd love to keep some, but it's never going to happen :(

    Platy Pics!

Much chasing Platies around the tank to get a better picture later... Save them, because, sadly they're getting too inbred now, though I got a couple of new ones not too long ago to counter-act this. :) It's the guppies I'm desperately trying to get rid of!

    Some Of My Angels

No offence, but I'm one of these people who liked angelfishes silver, with black stripes before all theser weird modifications :( I spent almost 12 months searching for these
