Sorry to sound dumb but not sure if the fluval kit has a solenoid dont think it has think you jus manually turn flow on and turn off when you want.

What I wanted to know as well is how long should I run co2 for should it be on all the time or jus a certain amount of hours cheers

You also get more room in tank and only pipes instead of big ugly filter better for aquascapng.

I have a u2 and it is near silent i would put as much of the old media out of your old filter and into your new filter and then jus keep an eye on water stats thats what i normally do with no real problems hope that helps.

ive got the m series in my tanks and have no problems with them and they look more stylish not so bulky.

You buy moonlight led strips off ebay which work out about £10-£15 depending on length and they jus run off seperate plug.

twinklecaz yours should be sufficient for your tank easily take it apart and give it a good clean.

I have a fluval u2 in my 90 litre tank and it is spot on no problems at all easy to clean maintain etc.If you got a choice get the bigger one as it will turn your water over more and has a bigger capacity than the u2 but all in all great internal filters mate. :rolleyes:

About a quarter of a block will be fine for them but defrost it first make sure you only feed as much as they can eat.

You need to get more hiding places in that tank or the puffers will start fighting if you dont break up their eye line.They like their own space and should be kept in species only tanks with the exeption of ottos their great little fish and fun to watch good luck. Puffers tend to only eat...

Seems like you may have had a bad batch of fish but get test kit to check water.

Did you use the old media from your old tank if not then your tank isnt cycled if its new media etc. also what did you use to clean tank with? Also you could jus have had a real bad batch of fish. what are your water stats?.

Yes mate fits tidy hoses were a slight bit long as 205 is shorter so i cut them so there was no kink or loop put some plumbers tape on ends and its as sweet as a nut mate with twice the power. sell your 205 and get yourself a 405 for about £100

when i bought my fluval 180l i paid the extra £25 and upgraded filter from the 205 to the 405 and that seems to be working ok for me if wanting to add water flow jus put a powerhead in there.

Yeah he does seem to have a pine cone effect to his scales thats what made me think it was dropsy is there a cure for this?
