I'm a little confused at my current nitrite testing - it's a blue color that doesn't really match any of them. Is it 0 or am I reading some?

Got it, thanks! Yeah, shouldn't be a problem once I have my fish in there since I plan to do weekly water changes where I'll be adding some anyways. Just don't want it to get too low during the cycling process where I don't plan to be taking any out (unless needed).

There's so many cool fish at the fish store that I don't even know where to start! How about this, what are some fish you guys think are cool? (that would fit in my tank) Then I can go to the fish store, see if they have them, and check them out.

Ok, I'll have to go to my pet store to see what exact fish they have. Though I would definitely like a fish that takes care of snails and or algae. I have quite the snail and algae problem and I would love a fish that could help me out with it but not grow too big for the tank. Any suggestions?

Ok, yeah I have been leaving my light on too long. And I just noticed that the crud on the side is algae, it's green.

I usually have my light on most of the day and then off at night.. I'm not sure what lighting I'm using, the light was already in the tank when I got it but I may be able to find it out. It looks like just brown stuff on my plants, not algae. And no, the tank is not in direct sunlight.
