Just though i'd show everyone my massive GSP, as im so proud of him. I've had him for nearly two years now when he was the size of a 50 pence coin and now he's nearly tennis ball sized.
He's still brackish at the moment, and doing really well. He was raised on bloodworm but now I feed him...
These guys are a little beaten up but nothing a little time will heal and they'll be good as new.
I've had them over a year now and the largest puffer is starting to pick on them so i need to let them go to new homes. they are small about 2 inches
Pick up only from Cwmbran/Newport (NP44 5sq)...
...So I got home from work today and turned on my tank light to find that the water is literally teeming with copepods. It appears to have happened over night, I know they are not harmful but I don't like them and want to get rid of them.
I haven't changed anything out of my routine apart from a...
I was looking at Coral Beautys to begin with , maybe a Mandarin dragonet eventually (im aware they're hard to feed), Fuzzy lionfish, Regal angelfish, Scarlet Hawk, wrasse, watchman goby, regal/yellow tang, are some others I fancied
After a lot of perseverance I've finally mastered the art of brackish and keep a group of Spotted Puffers rather successfully, they're very happy and healthy, so now I'm looking to raise the bar and go marine. I'm getting between a 300-500Ltr (80-100 gallon) (apparently the bigger the better)...
I have three GSP (green spotted puffers) the one being the smallest of the three has just been bitten (i think by accident) whilst feeding them. Its left a mark on his belly that looks like a bruise. will he be ok? He's acting normal. I've heard their skin is quite resilient to damage.
I just...
Hey everyone
I've recently noticed these tiny organisms attatched to my glass. They look like what can only be described as thin trees with flailing 'branches'. Some of them have other 'trees' growing off them. They look like some kind of filter feeding worm. I watched them and one caught a...
Added two puffers to my species tank today. They are the only occupants. The one puffer is very active as he should be, the other isnt as balloon shaped as the other and his belly isnt as white. his eyes are active and he does swim about when i tap the glass, he eats a little too, but mostly he...
Well, whatever he is i feel sorry for him as he obviously wasn't meant to be there in the shop. He's hell bent on getting out of the tank and spends all day swimming up and down the glass front.
I purchased this small fish but don't really know what he is.
He's (or she?) is about 2" long and is all silver. Being kept in a cold water tank.
