thanks for all the advice, i have keep fish before about ten year ago but messy divorce, new girl and baby took its toll to now, but back then i had no internet and basically filled a three foot tank shoved plants in left for a day and put a load of fish in !!! oh how wrong could i get it...

thank you minx for the quick reply, the plastic tubs are going to be bought brand new to do this, i was going to use the same water, just pour it back in, would it be best to bag the fish and float in the tank like you do with a new fish ? i have keep fish in the past just never moved a setup...

as well as keeping fish, i like to fish too and i've had crayfish attached to 27lb pike so if they attack a fish of this size theres not much chance of them leaving your little fish alone, the signal crays we have around here and eat and kill just about everything !
