At the moment, and as the fish in the display are feeding well/showing no illness (other than the external spots) I think I'm going to leave them in the display and feed well, whilst maintaining water quality. I just think without a definitive confirmation on the illness it would be wrong to...

Thanks all :) The frags on the substrate were showing PE today, my lights must kick out some serious PAR :good: I've decided I'm going to invest in a dosing pump and go down the balling route, to see if I can grow some big colonies of SPS :D Just need to research it all now :no:

Here's how I got the angel out, notice the cunning use of an upside down breeder box to protect the trachy :lol: The corals are much happier, in less than 24hrs they have perked up dramatically Before After Before After :good: I fed some frozen earlier and saw the feeding...

If you get stung by anything you'll find that only the delicate areas of your skin (forearms) will show you've been tagged. I've held galaxia and hammer corals with no trouble. I've had a nem wrap its tentacles in the shop (I asked if it stung :lol:) with no effects :)

I've just had a fun morning using this stuff :lol: Leaving all flow and skimmer on for maximum aeration :)

Thanks Liz :) The angel has been caught! The trap was in the tank less than 12hrs too :good: Now she's there I feel a bit sorry for her as she is a lovely fish, but I want a reef tank so I know its for the greater good :)

Bit of a long update this one :) Found lots of scypha sponges in my sump - apparently a sign of a maturing tank? The fish are doing well, the foxface and yellow tang are almost inseparable now :D The tang is still the boss of the tank however :lol: love him to bits. The cleaner...

The frags I'm getting are from the chap thinning the growth and will be cut from the colony the same morning I receive them so ideally need something ready to go. I'm thinking milliput, glue and coral sand?

Got a few frags coming my way this weekend off of a local reefer :good: The frags I get from my lfs come on horrible plastic plugs, and I don't want to use these! I've seen people make their own using milliput - do you cure these out of the tank? Could I stick sand to the surface to make them...

"Marine anaconda" - I sometimes hear them referred to as. Scare me more than eunice worms!

It's the boa bristle worms (the ones that wrap around your arm) that you really need to watch out for!

My sister has 6 kids (as does my mum, big family :lol:) and has a zafira - pretty big, lots of seating options and its on 138k miles and still going strong :)

Is a prosumer the same as a bridge camera? If so I've got one here and a tripod too!

I'm always on late so feel free to pester me :) With scaping I find it 100 times easier having someone direct me from outside the tank - get someone to give you a hand but explain what you are after roughly. Just remember to include swim throughs and space for tangs ;) No harm in freestyling...

I think the snails look like baby Nassarius snails with the "periscope" at the front........ Click me
