the beast thing to do is let them birth in the tank that they where in orriginally but provide plenty of plants and hiding places for the fry. that way the fittest will survive and you wont be over run with babys

i would replace the bully as fish that have this mentallity usually turn on other tank mates too. remeber even if you get a female there may be some aggression but this is just the nature of the beast

i think at that size if they have started showing bristles they will turn out to be males. my females have always been much older when starting to show bristles, if they ever have them at all

i dont think you should have a problems but just keep an eye on them. the problem you may have is feeding them as they are filter feeder and do better in as mature aquarium. i feed mine liqui fry with a pippet and also mix up flak with a small amount of water to make a soup and use a pippette...

how long has the tank been set up and what are your water stats? have you added anything to the tank recently? meds ,ornaments, new fish etc

once the filter media from the old filter is placed into the filter in the new tank the fish can be added to the new tank
