Intentionally left the light on long AND the tank is by a window. Wanted to get some algae growth. I got more than I bargained for haha. 3x Otos and 2 ghost shrimp clean up crew. Fingers crossed the puffers play "kinda" nice.

It is lightly planted in the substrate. For now. This isn't my first rodeo.

Initial setup with rocks and wood... trying to get a good basis for design. More to come!

I agree and disagree. The fact of the matter is we are subjecting fish to very unnatural living conditions when they are in an aquarium, no matter how hard we try. So preemptive treatment makes sense. On the other hand, you really can cause more harm than good by unnecessarily exposing healthy...
