Been running the 2329 w&d for years now and never had a problem, just make sure you clean pipes regular, clean media in stages as not to kill the bacteria, as i said never had a problem and have it running on a 600ltr tank (with another eheim) fully planted with computerised co2 system.....

The 'black' type sealer works under water, if i remember correctly it's called GOLD LABEL pond & aquarium sealer (yellow tube), it's about double the price of normal sealer but well worth it. Be great to see your tank when your done :good:

I would say get yourself a permenent co2 test kit or ph meter, the first being the cheaper option, your bubble rate depends on the hardness/softness of your water, so i would start at about 1 per second and check your test kit.... A JBL Permenent CO2 Test Kit sells for about £5-£10 depnding...

Sorry yes all eggs, i use liquid eggs (about 10 drops) so i guess about 1/4 teaspoon full should do the job, and yes shells left on paper also but not a problem as they just sink and when you clean bottom just suck them up :good:

Ok. try a local Metal Fabrications company and you could have it made to your own spec

1. i use tank water 2. i use 1 salt rock ( so about a teaspoon full) 3. brown stuff ???? 4. yes air stone 5. turn off air and watch them move about (24-48hrs) 6. i sieve throught coffee filter paper (works very well) 7. brine shrimp hope this helps

It pushes into the pump housing (thick side of connector) then as you put the top on it just slots into the rubber

Don't think there is any way back for that perished rubber, being an electrical component i would change it for a new heater/stat...hth

I also use eheim on my 600ltr tank, 1 pro2 2028 and 1 wet&dry thermo 2329..... they keep the tank superb, as people have said they are expensive and do last forever so i guess you get what you pay for :good:

i know it might sound silly but have you a one way valve? is it round the right way?
