I have recived my cathodes this morning and fitted them into my light hood, just waiting till tonight to test these babys out :D

i have 3 going to buy 3 more tomorrow (well today) my 3 are bold as brass now they been in the tank for around 8 days now.
give them time to settle inand they will pop out :) especilly at feeding time mine whizz out and gobble up the surplus food that hits the bottom of the tank :)

That lump of bogwood too me ages to find and i got it for only £5 i was so chuffed.
as for the cabomba if it starts to declin i'll take it out and replace it with somthing else :D
my daughters tank needs some plant life so i may put it in there only 27litre with 15w...
this is a 2foot tank but rather deep it looks like a custom made tank to me lol, but for free i cant complain :)
i'll grab a pic of how it looks now. 3 weeks in.
im not sure what plants they are where i bought them from havent got names attached to them :( i'll have a look and see if i can identify them all.

Would a total of 30watts lighting be good enough for a 28 uk gallon semi planted tank?
i have 1x 18" 15W Arcadia Original Tropical Lamp and 1x 18" 15W Arcadia Fresh water lamp.
yes he has the virtical lines andthey are linked with a horizontal line also mid body as you can see, he's about 2inch in lengh.
im just confused with the golden spots part of your post, hes golden allover apart from the chain like black markings. he also dosnt have the silvery purple spot's...

his markings are exactly the same as the middle black and white picture. but on clicking that none of them look anything like him
so frustrating :(

it doesnt have the blueish tinged spots like the polka dot tho thats why im struggling to identify it.
i thought that but his body isnt silver it is yellowish
im thinking maybe a hibreed or somthing.

there out and about.
i wouldnt worrie m8 it may look as tho it isnt feeding but it will be :) only thing ya need to do is dont over feed in the hope you will see him eating :) fish are intellegent animals unfortunately some people think not
