good thread fat fish :good: :good: :good: jelly i personally wouldnt use sand, turtles produce LOTS of mess and waste and honestly it will make ur life much easier to keep the tank bottom as clear as possible. hubby uses some peices of large slate so that u dont get that 'bare tank' look...

hubby has 2 sliders they are entertaining critters :rolleyes: and quickly learn to beg for food everytime they see you so beware over feeding!! he fitted a reptile light to his tank, best to ask in the shop where u buy the sliders for advice. they grow quite fast and are very strong so get the...

i tend to leave my pregnant livebearers in the main tank then when i spot babies skim them of the top and put them into a seperate tank until they are large enough not to fit into the other fishes mouths. it varies with species but as a rule i tend to leave them till they are about 3/4inch-1...

in a small tank i would def say ottos as corys need a larger floor area corys are fine on gravel so long as it is reasonably large and smooth. i have both in different tanks and corys win hands down with me. they are so entertaining as they scurry about in their groups. both corys and ottos...

i would say mollys if u r new to breeding live bearers tend to just get on with it on their own really :rolleyes:
