The holey rock is perfect for cichlids. The holes may trap some poop but activity from the fish will carry some out and reagular tank maintenece will basically eliminate any of those problems. It is highly recommended and there are only benefits when using it for a cichlid tank

If you want to get angelfish, it would be on the small side to put more than one in the tank if you are looking to put more in than just the angelfish. also tiger barbs would be to aggressive with the angelfish. if you wanted the tiger barbs, u shouldnt get the angel, but you could if you like...

well i had tiger barbs and ghave them away to a friend. once gone snails started to appear, but when i added them again they began to decrease till i could see them no more. do you think they take care of pest snails? anyone else have this expierence?
