whitespot is caused by stress, is your tank cycled and if so, what are the water stats? i've found snails in my tanks before, theyre harmless things and probably found it's way in to your tank from an aquatic plant. as for dosing the whitespot, you should dose for the TOTAL volume of water...

i'm sure grimmy had the best intentions in mind, but unfortunately chances are that would of only been a temporary tank for the oscar, which surely would have been sold soon or relocated to another tank with more space. but now you have a fish that needs a minimum to 55 gallons to even survive...

IF you swap the bettas with the angels, you'll be having the same problem. putting fish in an uncycled tank is a recipe for disaster. your best bet would be to return the angel fish, because if the ammonia doesn't kill them, it'll surely stunt their life. IF you do decide to keep the angels or...

correct. cycling will be complete when ammonia and nitrIte registers at 0. no need at all for chemicals to remove the ammonia. and 25% percent a week should be more than sufficient to remove the nitrAtes. although if you tank is not that overpopulated, you would be able to get away with 25%...

if you agitate the gravel during the water change, all the leftover food and waste floats out from the gravel and circulates around your tank until it gets sucked up by the filter. this contributes toward cloudy water. do you have a gravel vac?

bristlenose plecos are community fish, my BN gets on well with my neon tetras and swordtail, so they should be fine. :good:

Nope was definitely bubbles and the water was extremely cold. Luckily my fish are very forgiving when it comes to temperatures. The light was constantly on and it never went off. I have since bought a new heater and temperature is back up to a nice 24 degrees. :good:

There is bubbles INSIDE the glass part of my heater and the light indicating that it is heating is constantly on, and water temperature does not change. I think the heater may be broken, or am i imagining things? Should there be bubbles inside the heater?
