Those are convict cichlids. They're New Worlds. You can leave them in there with the parents, setup a tank just for the parents and eggs, or take the fry when the eggs hatch and put them in a seperate tank.

Any of the shellies would work. A trio or foursome of CAlvus would work or some Julidochromis would work in a tank that size too. I've never kept Cyprochromis before but they would probably do better in a 55 US Gallon. Comps are a little too aggressive. JMO -Brad

I would think so. Or do a lot of water changes to clean up the dead leaves and such. Some plants like water flow though such as Anubias Barterei (sp?) so you might need something.

Most people just find rocks outside and scrub and boil them. Limestone is great to use as it will raise your pH to a higher level that is more suitable for African Cichlids.

Well I read on another forum that they thought the bladder was to small to eat baby shrimp, but I'm not sure maybe baby shrimp and fry. I think fish would be ok.
