Have been looking at a pair of blue rams as thier beautiful but have heard they're quite tough to keep alive. Still up to this point I've only kept 'tough' fish so I guess it's about time I tried something a bit more demanding. Thanks for the advise.

I would highly recomend a few chain loaches. I have 3 of them in my 90 litre tank and they're fantastic. Don't grow very big and the snails don't stand a chance, plus they're very entertaining.

Cheers guys, that's put my mind at rest. How often do you change your filter media. I clean them whenever they look really grim in some tank water and then change them about every 6 months. Do you need to change the media for any reason or could you just keep cleaning them?

The platys do lokk bloated but that's because they're both heavily pregnant. The males and other females now seem to be swimming around more happily. I did take a broad leafed plant out the other day 'coz they'd chewed it right up so maybe that is the cause, never thought of that, cheers :good:

Cheers guys, that's kinda what I feared. I've got pretty good filtration and I do regular changes and sand vacs so I think I'll bring the cory numbers up to 6 and then leave it there. Have only recently upgraded to this tank but already I want a bigger tank! :good:
