they do all have them, its just they aren't "out" all the time, if you get what i mean, i think they only really use them when looking for food, at least thats the case in my tank. one of my females is the queen of the gravel and she's always looking for food, so her barbels are nearly always...

my danios dont school at all! thay chase each other round the tank like madmen and do little dances to each other, but as far as schooling goes, i dont think they do much. i agree about the glowlights though. when i first got them all six hung out together and they still do when they get a bit...

thanks for replying! i think its the angle of the photo with that one, they're all about the same size in reality. i've just cut right back on the feeding so that might help. but yes, they are very lazy. but they are cute, so thats ok.... :rolleyes:

here is my very first (EVER!) fishtank...! its a bit of a jungle to the left but we're growing some wisteria and cambomba for a friend so when we take that out, it'll look a bit tidier. its about 66l, 17 us Gallons, 14 uk Gallons and its my current obsession! hope you like it... :good:

read this thread when it was first posted and today, i see one of the zebra danios chasing something round the tank...nothing unusual there! when i looked closer, i saw it was a little black thing so i started to look more closely at the whole of the tank.... found these little guys...

i am cycling my very first tropical fish tank and due to not trusting myself and letting my LFS tell me what to do, i am doing it with 4 very lovely zebra danios. the fish seem fine, very active and feeding well and i've been monitoring the tank daily. today the nitrates were between 10 and 25...
