It anchors its self onto things like bogwood/slate/volcanic rock/mesh. You can pretty much tie it onto anything using thread/fishing line/hair net   Some people make a moss carpet or wall using mesh.

Very well and quick. I found it grows well on wood (at a slanted angel) stones, even in plants lol. The second picture it the moss growing in the plant from where i last gave it a trim (the little bits got stuck in the plant and it just grew)

Idealy the whole thing, the u bend as the mo is being held together by super glue but the pipes between have now cracked :(
