that is perhaps a maybe maybe not situation. i fishles cycled my tank and the 1st fish that went in were neons (approx 3-4 weeks ago) we got 6 and thy were all fine till last week when 2 got into the filter got stuck and died :blink: -_- we now have 8 and theyr all doing fine

yep i do daily tests on amonia nitrite and nitrate im a little suprised at the lack of nitrate could the plants be using it? im also doin 20 ish% water changes every 2 or 3 days should i reduce this?

i take what your saying but the ammonia was 0 (and stayed 0 ever since) it was the nitrite that wasnt quite done. i think problem is solved now as the nitrite has stayed 0 since the 2nd day

well i bit the bullit and swapped everything lock stock and barrel i put new gravel in 1st then the old colanised gravel on top all the ornaments and plants from the old tank. set the juwel filter up running AND put the filter from the old tank in running. its been 9 hours or so iv just tested...
