a month, a week over?

I left it untreated during beginning stages for about 5-6 days..I had no time to buy medicine. But on the weekend (today) I did and started treatment. Can fish die from ich?? Yeah I am new..hehe

Lately my sunburst platy..(I only have 1) has been swimming extremely fast more than it normally does..either that, or it rests at the bottom of my tank in a "safe" area like a shell or inside a rock. He likes to camp around. Is this normal? I have no bully fish, all schools of tetra.. Please...

update: i have added 3 black neon tetras. my tank is now 3 bn tetras and 3 bls tetras and 1 platy. Could I add possibly 1 more fish? Thank you.
