thanks andywg the snakehead is about 7inc and the ornate is about 22 when the snake head gets a bit bigger he will be going in a 8*3*3 with a 200ltr sump i think he should be happy in there :good:

hi i have a red snakehead in with my ornate with no problems at all,, infact they snuggle up together :good:

if you keep them in a small tank they will stop growing,,,,, put them in a big one and they will start growing again thats a fact

thanks for the replys . it is definately chinensis . on monster fish keepers forum there is a list of all known channa and chinensis is there but sadly no info. cant post pics so i will try to describe it as best i can. its markings are like a coolie loach with electric blue spots all the way...

yes get your self a orange finned loach it will wipe them out with in 24 hours puffer 8s are better but you need salt in the tank for them to survive :good:

cane i would be happy to take that gar off your hands ive got a 8*3*3 with a small rtc and a small pacu plenty of room (soon building 15*5*5) i think that should be big enough for a adult
