I used water and some decorations from my 20 gallon. There are no fish in the tank. I did a 20% water change this morning and the Ammonia went down a bit.

Sometimes they'll eat algae wafers, but it really depends on the frog/shrimp, some like them, and some don't. Another thing you can do is feed them cucumber by rubber-banding a piece of cucumber to a small rock. If you get the rock out of your yard, or from a pond, etc you need to boil it...

A betta is probably the best thing you could put in a 2 gallon.

Popeye can be caused by Poor nutrition, poor water quality, rapid change in water temp. or PH, or injury. To treat it, you could either use 1 tsp aquarium salt per tank gallon, or a med such as maracyn. I'd reccomend using a hospital tank when treating the popeye. HTH :D Sea_Monster

I wouldn't sell/give away my betta for betta fighting.

Could it be popeye? If it is, aquarium salt works best. I'd also reccomend using a hospital tank, especially if you have non-brackish water fish in your tank. HTH :D ~Sea Monster~

I've heard you can make plants out of yarn; but I haven't done that my self yet. Also, you can make caves out of flower pots. :D

Update: I put him in a different hospital tank (he had been in one with his girlfriend who also had ich) and I fed him some mashed peas and his spine straightened back out. I still don't know why it was bent in the first place though... :huh: :dunno:

I've had good luck with maracyn for treating fin rot.

I'm using quick cure and aquarium salt for the ich. He's allready in a hospital tank. There are no othe symptoms that I can see.

My male guppy's spine is bending upward. I've never seen this before, and it just happened today. He recently got a case of ich, and is still getting over it. Do you think the ich has anything to do with it? He's not in a "handstand" like with swim bladder infections. Does anyone know what...
