    Trying To Breed Kribs

You can always remove the eggs. You have to catch it before they hatch, or salvage what you can afterwards, because the fry aren't easy to collect.

    Suggestions For High Water Tangs

Those one's you mentioned are really cool. Not for the shellie tank, though, cichlidforum.com said a 29H is the absolute minimum.

Thanks. I have a lot of live and frozen food by the way, so that isn't an issue. I'll look into that species, BigC.

    Pair For 2.5 Gallon

I'm looking for a species of killifish that can be kept as a pair permanently in a 2.5 gallon aquarium. I was looking specifically at Nothobranchus rachovii. Is this possible? If not, do you have any other species that you would suggest? Thanks!

    Yeast Infection?

I just made a yeast-based soda bottle CO2 system. Last night while setting it up I had a bit of a siphoning problem at first, and I think a small amount of the mixture got in the tank. A few minutes ago I looked at the tank and it was quite cloudy and the fish were breathing heavily. I put some...

    Best Kind Of Water Conditioner

API Water Conditioner. Extremely cheap, reliable, and handles chlorine, chloramines, and heavy metals. Amquel's good too, since it handles various organics, but you cant argue with the 10,000 gallones per bottle of API/

    10 Gallon Tank

I remember asking questions like these, but when it comes down to it it's really a personal choice based on what you would enjoy most. I would suggest a school of smaller fich along with some cories and maybe a bristlenose pleco. If the pleco was excluded and the school was kept small, you could...

    Hybrids

They are also usually sterile, so the two species need to be continually crossbred and can't be bred by those who buy them.

    Tetraman's Back!

I used to spend quite a bit of time here, but haven't been around in quite a while. I'm expecting to spend more time here over the summer. I currently have Laetacara sp., various apistos, yellow kribs, and a nano reef in six tanks. I also have cories, bristlenose plecos, and dithers as...

    Frozen Food

I want to get frozen food for my fish. I already feed them blackworms, BBS, and a wide variety of dry food. I was thinking about getting a frozen food. What do you suggest?

    Convicts

At least 3 or 4 in a 30 gallon tank. The suggested size for breeding them is a 20 gallon long. They can get up to 6", but they often don't, especially if you breed them as soon as they can.

    Keeping Discuss

A 20 is good for a small pair, but when they get in the 5 or 6 inch range a 30 gallon would be better. Be sure to use tall tanks. Oh, and by the way, it's spelled discus, not like the word for conversation.

    Convict Fry

    Convict Babies As Feeder Fish?

It's so much better then killing them because it gives the other fish a good meal and gives a purpose for its death.

    Convict Fry

So here's what I was thinking. I'm going to put most of the fish in my ten gallon in the twenty gallon, except maybe the apistos because they are delicate. Then I was going to buy a few convict fry and put them in the 10 gallon. What do you think that I should do? Quick response would be...

    Convict Babies As Feeder Fish?

Are you kidding me? That's what fish do. Eat other fish. That's a good idea, actually, and what I was going to do with the excess fry when I start breeding a cichlid.

    Apistogramma Trifasciata

I know that tank is absolutely loaded, but I make 50% water changes every 5-7 days. They all seem to be fine, but the male seems to be a little aggresive. is this a sign that he's looking for a mate?
  28. T

    Apistogramma Trifasciata

Could I keep all of the females in there for breeding?
  29. T

    Apistogramma Trifasciata

Sweet! I'm getting a 10 or 20 gallon tank for the cories and swordtails.

    What To Feed Guppy Fry

I suggest hatching baby brine shrimp.
  32. T

    Next?

I would get some guppies because they are small, entertaining, and you get the best of both worlds (Xiphophorus and Poecilia). Also, swordtails would interbreed with your platies, which isn't good.

    Catfish

    Cory Questions

You're supposed to put them in torn up newspaper for something like 24 hours so they release all of the dirt and compost that they eat, put I just cut them up as soon as I get them and squeeze out the dirt. It certainly won't hurt the fish. As it snowed for the first time this morning, I'm going...
