over the past few months we have talked about starting a pond behind the house. I dont know much about it or what to put in it. I've also been thinking about what to do with the fish over the winter. If any1 can help I would appriciate it.

I've lost a pleco and an eel from jumps. The pleco i was on vacation and when i came back i didnt see it and found it on the floor. The eel i thought burrowed so i searched the whole tank and coulnt find it the next day i found it under the tank in the cabnet. Maybe it was the cat. :/

I have 1 gourami its a dwarf. If i get another i want the opposite gender. Is there a way to tell?

yesterday a different guppy had 9 new babies in the breeder. Maybe it was the 2 other guppies if they were young or sumthing.

I'm not too sure. I leave my guppies in the breeder for about a day after she has the fry.

I've had guppies for about 3 month s now and I only have 2 fry. 1fry was born in my 10 galon before i got my new tank. If there were more they couldn't have gotten eaten because it was born in a breeder net. Then about 3-4 days ago i got 1 more born in the breeder net. How come every1 else...

I don't think it was a deciese, she was stuck in a cave and when i noticed she was missing i looked all over. when i flipped the cave she was stuck in a corner.

I couldn't find my guppy so i looked around the tank and flipped over the cave and there she was stuck in the corner of the cave. I took her out and put her in a net that i dipped in the water. is she ganna die? Please help! Jon

Guppies are easy I'm not sure about platies or swordtail, my platies got no babies yet. Mollies have the most fry a drop. The net has always done me good. You may want to get a small tank, that's what I'm thinking about. Hope this helps. Jon

You really need to lower your temp, i don't know how your fish are still living. It is hard to get oxygen higher than 82 lower it to 78-80, but only like 1-2 degrees F an hour.

It just dropped between when i went to my friends and when I came back I don't know how it just did. I have a brand new whisper heater and I thought they were good heaters.

The temp was low it dropped to like 70-72. Its rising and its now at 72-74 he just started swimming around fine. Thanks for the info though. Jon

My black ghost knife is laying on its side.(if you don't knoew what it is its my avitar) I just came in and it was fwimming and then it just slowly started sinking. Its gills are still moving, but it is just lying there doing nothing. Please help.

I got the other fish as you can see in my sig. and i was wondering, I put the female gupp in the breeder net when she had the babies. Should I get the seporator and do what you said?

I got 2 more female guppies and 1 more female platy. The platy is small so i think it can't have babies yet. I put the female guppy in the breeder to have her fry. Should I get the sepporater too?

That is really cool with all you have it sounds likeyou'll know more than alot of us in no time. Maybe you can answer some questions for me about the fire eel. I have hada tire track eel, but it jumped out of the tank somhow. That was the eel I thought about getting, but i on't know anything...

i'm not possitive, but you should keep her in there for now. Mine only hade one and it was in the breeder. Some people say theirs have up to 10. Jon

That happened to me today too. I had to teach the guy how to tell one from another. He had trouble telling apart guppies too! What a moron. He and his wife work there. His wife knows everything, but he's an idiot.

I agree with all of the above. You can't just have the fish for looks. It's a whole hobby. If your not going to take care of them then buy plastic fishes like mrv said. sorry if i'm being rude, but you have to buy fish that will do good together. If you buy the angel it will grow big and...

In your tank get no more than 13 fish. You should get 2 more guppies if you have the room. If you want the fry to survive you want a breeder net. With all those full grown fish the fry will be eaten in minutes. I don't think your platy is full grown yet, but it may be mature or near mature...

All the fish I have now are in my sig. Everyone is saying to get 1 more female for guppies and platies. I think i'm ganna get dat, but wat else is there to get. another person said to get atleast one more cory, but i'm not sure. Can anyone help because i'm really confused.
