Ahhh.. That makes sense.. I finished the 5 day medication cycle.. 3 of the 5 are still alive, and are sympton free. No more yucky white under their skin. So I guess the treatment was successful to a point. Have to do a 40% change today to get the meds out of the water. Thanks for your help...

I don't think I'm going to treat it.. I'm quite sure it's not any type of disease/sickness. He's been acting like a weirdo, but he does still come up to the glass when I feed him, and he does eat.

It's only his pupils that are going white.. He definitely can still see, but probably not that well..

It looks like it has had some fin rot problems.. Be sure to keep the water clean and it should heal up.

I have a betta that's pushing 4 years.. His eyes have recently become quite cloudy, and I'm not sure he can see anymore.. The water stays clean, so I don't see it as some sort of illness-type thing.. Is this common with older bettas?

Rams might work best.. Apistos tend to stay near the middle/bottom of the tank, so a tall tank may not be ideal for them.

I've had the same problem.. Female is very interested in breeding, but for some reason the male just doesn't help her out!

I don't think it really does anything to a tank with an already established biological colony.. I know some people add it every time they do water changes just to be safe. Personally, I use it in the first maybe month of setting up a tank. After that, I don't see the need.

Some people believe that obviously.. Personally I don't think it's an ideal life for a betta. I have seen it done a few times, but mostly in places like dentists/drs offices.. Places like that. I wouldn't do it!!

I've got mostly 1g or 2g tanks for the males. They get about half the water changed every few days, then a few days later I do a 100% cleaning. The bettas will be fine with the crawfish.. I wouldn't have put them in there if I wasn't positive they would be.

Some bettas are quite uncomfortable in big spaces.

Can be interesting with female bettas. I'm sure everyone has had different experiences. I have 3 currently in a 40g tank. Lots of room for each of them but occasionally they do some nipping. It's kinda bound to happen when you're dealing with female bettas. Just make sure nobody is getting too...
