Are you positive it is ok to mix the two meds. Most meds say to leave at least 4 days between. Once teh Myxazin course was complete, I was going to add corbon in to my filter to remove it (or have I missed the point of carbon?).

Yes, white and fluffy. It was also swollen. It only appeared on the first fatality though. There is no other fish showing obvious signs of it or anything else.

I always beleived that you needed carbon in your filter. What is it supposed to do then if it's not really necessary?

What is the difference between RO and deionized water? Is it recommended to use 100% DI water when setting up a new planted tank and adding the required minerals etc or shoul I mix it with tapwater?

£3/25l is what my local shop charges. I take it from your post that you think this is expensive. I have no experience of RO so I have no point of reference. What do you mean 1 good to 3 bad? How do you know the difference? Is a tapwater filter a better/cheaper option?
