Well I got back from my holidays on Friday,after one week. My nana was looking after the tank, she seemed to do a good job! This isnt really an emergency, its just I saw on one of the dwarf gouramis that there was a big red cut just below his eye. It is as if his gillflap has been ripped off...

well I hve 3 of them (had to buy 2 more after the other 2 died). The fish man said they wont grow too big for the tank, (110Litres). There is definitely no way that these 3fish are growing to 12inches! They are only one inch long now-the fish shop said that they will be ok and will not grow 2...

There are 4 fish shops within about 10miles of my house and between them, they sell almost all fish types that I could want. Plus the fella we get our fish from gets new species in all the time. If we particularly wanted something, he said he would order a load and they would be easily sold...

fish are more trouble than they are worth. All that work and effort to keep them happy. Then i try to make things better by setting the right pH. OH NO............... they cant cope with something so drastic as a .2 of a degree change in hydrogen atoms. They are really getting me down...

Well, This morning, I got up and looked at the fish. The clown loaches were playing dead again. When they "awakened" they were swimming on their sides. This looked odd but as they were clown loaches I thought "hey, everything else they do is odd". So then I tested the water again. pH was 7.6...

well he was sharing the shell with the catfish, who didnt approve. The clown eventually got out. The catfish wont let him back in (which i suppose is a good thing). And they all lived happily ever after. I HOPE!

ok i think its him. However it doesnt look as though he can get out. Do i try and get him out or leave it to him? He has been in there all day you see

stripped the whole tank (and filter). couldnt see him. Gave up. Moved the catfishes shell and the catfish came out. Then saw a marking of orange, right inside the shell. (didnt even know any more room in there existed!). The bit of orange then disappeared. Im hoping its him!

honestly he isnt there! There is NO WAY that he could have jumped out. The weird thing is that there was no trace of him at all. I dont know. its a mystery! Im going to strip the tank now so.

no see the other 2 are fine, swimming around. Its just the one that has gone. i have triple checked the tank, he isnt there. no body or anything. probably eaten by the other inhabitants after death.
