A good start would to be to test the water from you’re tap(could be the problem).

What sort of filter system are you using in the tank? It could just be a case of changing you’re filter media for a different type.. Common ways to Lower Ph and hardness. Filtering water over peat Add bogwood to the tank Inject carbon dioxide CO2 Use a commercial acid buffer Water changes...

You're PH and GH/KH are way to high for a Pl*co IMHO. Basically Pl*co’s like slightly soft water and you have very hard water.
