Sorry I went dead on here but here is an update I now have 2 20 gallons (roughly) and sold the 6 gallon both tanks are up and running waiting for it to cycle then I will be off to the fish store to get some fish

have the tank stand and tank is as clean as I can get it just got to get some other stuff and It will be good to go (also got to get some driftwood tank safe and rocks)

No I know there can only be one betta but what I'm asking is if the ottos would be OK in there

ok so im looking for a betta mate and ive seen so many cool cleaners but they ether dont work or dont fit in my 6 gallon. would a betta work in a 6 gallon with 2-3 otocinclus.

Yep white vinegar is exactly what I used and I dont know if its lime scale or dirt (probably lime scale) also there are pictures further back so you might be able to tell me what you think

ok I've tried everything this glass wont clean (the dirt is on the outside) is it ok to not clean the outside as the fish wont have this dirt in contact with them and when wet/water is on the inside the dirt is not visible (i know i sound lazy RN but i scrubbed that tank for hours just about...

unfortunately i already have a few neon tetras and they are the fish that brought me back into the hobby as my first fish in 6 years but they appear to pretty healthy (also a platy i need to return as i can not meet its requirements [did not know as much when i bought it])

no problem always happy to help just make sure not to overstock the tank

it really does depend on the temperment of the fish though

I'm a little late to this one but the platy I have now (trying to rehome) but I didn't know any water chemistry until I came here and now found out that my water is soft and platys need hard ontop of that I have neon tetras with it now so cant do anything about water hardness otherwise the...

I've been told that platys like to have about 4 to be happy so mabey put a few more platys before anything else but I'm no expert

With the tank I have now it is in a windowsill and above a radiator I blocked 1/2 the window with black card and the radiator doesn't affect it much (it's in the basement so is very cold and the tank uses a heater
