Yeah I was thinking soon as in waiting till around the 2 month mark. Although in my last tropical tank they were in after 1 month and didn't loose any. But I'm not rushing. My pH is around 6.2 anyway so nutrients are going to be far less toxic as is.

It's the clear jbl tube that spirals the bubbles up. The test has stayed a dark green so far as I upped the amount of co2 to something like 4-5 bubbles per second

Just a tip, I have never put store water in my tanks. Just acclimatise and net fish out of water.

I don't like the fact that people want to keep lots of small groups of fish that do better in numbers. Like 6 neons, 6 rasboras, 6 penguin tetras, 6 lemon tetras, 6 Cory's. I think a couple of large groups are much nicer for the viewer and the fish.

Oh I didn't realise everyone was getting a water meter. Used to make 75 litres a week on my old tank, that would of cost a bit as I only got 1 part rodi to 4 parts waste lol

I'd like to add something about the test kits. Years ago I used to keep tropical and used API test kits. Then went to marine and used Salifert kits, I found the Salifert much better and can measure nitrate down to 1ppm. Now come back to tropical and I'm using the Salifert kits still on...

I would buy an ro unit instead of buying ro water from fish shop. Will work out cheaper in the long run, and less pain lugging barrels around. Mine was about £100

I cant suggest which one. Iv only used the one that came with my tank, its purpose made for my sump.
