rams are dwarf south american cichlids that can do well in some community setups. You get the cichlid attitude in a much smaller package than most of the cichlids from SA. They tend to do well in at least pairs with some caves to hide in.

They were previously classified as Veija but changed that classification around a year or so ago. Several of the species in the Veija genus were changed to excichlasoma.

Ya know, when I want to try dithers in my tanks I start out cheap. Buy a couple of feeder goldfish (they cost me .12 each) and see how it goes. If they are successful then you could go with a more expensive fish for a dither. Just my opinion!

He is definately correct in that an Oscar can NOT live in a 15g tank for 6 months. He can't live in there for even 3 months.
