Yeah, I'm very happy there are less snails already. The people at the store never heard of snailtraps and the only chemicals they had would also kill the plants. My liittle loach is so cute and comical. :lol:

I'm working on a pic, but it's difficult because my camera isn't too good. How long does it take eggs to hatch? They look like emperor tetras or zebra danios. silver with a thin black stripe. I don't think they are from my livebearers tho bc all I have are guppies and they look nothing like...

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! :D I have a divider in the tank so that the betta has his own section seperate from the guppies and the other fish. Except for the loach, I have to move him back and forth to get rid of the pesky snails.

Did the eggs from the glowlites hatch yet? Please let me know if the babies have an orange stripe because I have some mysterious baby fish that I think might be glowlites but they have a black stripe. I made a post about it When fish breed it is so happy :P

Yeah well, I got plants that ended up having a ton of snail eggs on them, but that was two or three months ago. Update: It's been about a week since I first discovered the mysteriious baby, and hes doubled in size. I just saw another little one. I don't know what breed of fish they are...

If there are other colors not listed, what are they, Ive never seen them. :alien:

Well, I hope I made the right decision, but I just went and bought a pair of dwarf gouramies. :D Thanks for all the advice everyone! (they're so pretty) I wasn't planning on breeding them, so they should be fine in my community.

Don't get fish from Walmart. They are a nice store, but everyone I know that got a fish there lost it soon after. :-( There are dead fish in most of their tanks and I used to cringe when I walked by because of how much algae ther was. :no: At least it's a little better now. Still, don't buy...

Yeah, I was thinking of getting a few more fish, so I might get a zebra loach to take care of them. Ive been taking the snails out, but they just keep coming, Im pretty sure Ive gotten out close to 200 so far, It's annoying. :rofl: Ill see if they have any snailtraps at the local petstore...

I heard a rumor that dwarf gouramis are bad to put with small peaceful fish becuase they are bullies and will bite the other fish's fins. Is this true? bc everywhere i look it says that they are good tankmates for peaceful fish, also do they reproduce quickly if you have a pair? Does anyone...

The problem is, my tank is small and if I would get something like a clown loach, it would over crowd it. Are snail traps kindof like ant traps, Ive never heard of them? Is there a problem with the snail killing chemical, do they harm fish or plants? :dunno:

I bought some plants for my fishtank and apparently they had snail eggs on them, becuase all these baby snails appeared. I took them out, but apparently not fast enough because now the second generation has hatched. Does anyone have some helpful advice for me?
