Is it normal for fish to have debris on them?

Will do! I just did a big water change and a lot of debris came out of the gravel and from the water column, so far the tank has a lot less debris and I haven’t seen any on my fish so maybe it was just dirty, thanks a bunch!

Is it normal for fish to have debris on them?

here you Can see he’s particle free now, the stuff falls off of him and then when he brushes up against something he’ll pick stuff back up. I tried to get a picture of the particles on the plants. They’re the little whitish dots. They’re all over the tank. It’s been awhile since I’ve had fish...

Is it normal for fish to have debris on them?

It’s not inch, it’s debris of some sort. It looks like tiny tan particles of maybe food or something but I haven’t had the tank running for THAT long to have this much debris so I’m a little confused as to why it’s so messy I don’t think I’ve even put this much food into the tank but maybe I...

It looks like a bunch of tiny tan like particles scattered all throughout the tank all over the plants, filter, heater the gravel and when my fish brushes up against stuff with it on it it gets attached to him but then falls off

Is it normal for fish to have debris on them?

The debris on the leaves and filter and whatnot, does that look like normal particles and debris that normally collect in fish tanks? You don’t think it could be a growth/fungus of some kind, it seems normal?

Is it normal for fish to have debris on them?

Hello, I recently got a betta fish after cycling my tank for a few weeks. I’m noticing that there are some particles on debris on the plants, filter rocks etc. and when my betta swims up next to one of these he gets the debris on him and it attaches for awhile but seems to fall off after some...

Help! White particles on top of water, cycling new tank

I tried my best to get a picture. You can see them at the surface of the tank. They’re like whitish clear but they aren’t circular they’re organically shaped. I upped my airation overnight to see if they would go away and they seemed to lessen on the surface but I think they just sank to the...

Help! White particles on top of water, cycling new tank

Do you this it’s a fungus or bacteria? Like a living multiplying substance? Or just debris from waste. I had an issue about a year ago where I had a weird white substance grow and multiply in my tank and I bleached everything and it set everything aside to dry out. I’ve set the tank up again a...

Help! White particles in tank multiplying and wont go away

Interesting, I never had the problem before with this filter it was only after I added the bag of rocks did the “snow” like particles happen. But in general when you fill up a fish tank is it normal to have white particles floating around and settling at the bottom of the tank? Keep in mind I...

Help! White particles in tank multiplying and wont go away

It has the beneficial bacteria sponge, and a filter cartridge, it’s the Aqueon filter that comes with the aqueon ascent. The filter was in the old tank when it had the issue, I bleached the filter and sent it out to dry. I’ve scrubbed it clean of all the white stuff as much as I could, however...

Help! White particles in tank multiplying and wont go away

It is 100% not sand. The sand in my tank was black, this white stuff transferred to all of my other tanks, I’ve touched it, it’s a soft substance, organic not hard. It even latched itself onto my fish at the time.
