I have heard from word of mouth about a body of water around my home that has freshwater isopods in it, I'm thinking of catching a few and putting them in their own tank. There doesn't seem to be any information on keeping freshwater isopods as a pet, has anyone done so?

Well....I think my frog ate one of my glo tetras. This morning it went to hide in my frogs favorite hiding spot and hasn't appeared anywhere since....the neons know better and stay away. Man, this frog eats some expensive food. I love her and the chaos she causes.

I am going to make arrangements to rehome the glo tetras and get 3 more neons - is it true I can't keep tetras with my betta? They seem to be doing well together and they don't interact....I read on a few sites that it was ok...

Thank both of you on the information on the tetras. I was misled into believing that glo and neons would shoal and that only 5 are needed, and that bettas get along okay I know clams are hard to keep but they have been doing very good so far, the frog too.

I have a tank with 5 tetras, a betta, 2 very small baby snails (planning on moving them), 2 mystery snails and a few clams. Can I add another mystery snail and a ghost shrimp or two? I don't want to add any more unless I'm 100% sure it's okay

I have 2 baby nerite snails in my freshwater tank (thought the frog got them but they came out of hiding :D) - I read that they actually breed in salt water. When I get a saltwater tank set up, how can I safely move and accommodate them to that tank?

They actually lose their limbs and grow them back bigger every time they molt. This type of crawdad will only get to be about 2 inches or so adult. By the time he's a adult, he should have a nice, large pair of claws suited to catching minnow.

I recently purchased a rather cheap electric aquarium vacuum off ebay....because I can't get the pump kind to actually pick up debris from the gravel. What are the chances of me being electrocuted by this thing? Also, is electrocution via aquarium common? Should I worry?

My aerator has two lines, one is already hooked up to a bubbler. What would happen if I added a air stone to my tank? Would there really be any changes? Is it more or less healthy? I like bubbles.

Every time my frog sees me she darts under a rock and hides. I never see her because she's always hiding from me. I've removed her from the tank and put her a glass of the aquarium water when I move the rocks so she doesn't get stuck under them....she is scared of me now. :( It's hard to feed...

I read that crystals are ok but rocks aren't. I took out the tiger's eye and left in the rock crystal and amethyst. If anyone knows if I'm right about what these rocks are and/or the safety of them for sure please let me know. Thanks.

I have successfully been able to keep a betta with snails, is it possible to keep a betta with shrimp? I know shrimp are part of a betta's diet but maybe if there were enough hiding spaces?

I know this is extremely difficult, but has anyone ever successfully done it? I of course do not plan on trying this ever since they are solitary fish, just curious. Maybe if you kept a small group of females in a large tank with lots of distractions?

Yeah...I checked the tank and they haven't escaped....they might either be hiding in the decorations or frog food.

Can anyone confirm if those clearish rocks are quartz? And I believe the darker brown one might be tigers eye? I want to make sure before putting it in my aquarium...If you need a better picture I can provide that
