In my locality there is no supply of any live food. I feed my guppies Hikari Fancy Guppy for adults and Hikari First Bites for fry. I have observed that the fry start to die once I start feeding them. Maybe I need to change food(not live) for the fry to survive.

I have tried to breed them with similar color partners of other breed. The resulting color was same, but the eyes were black. And this guppy pattern has everything red including eyes.

The tank is 20 gallons approximately.

  But what I have noticed is the algae eaters will eat only those things that are lying at the bottom, and anything that sticks on the vertical walls.   I have not seen these kind of fishes catching anything that is swimming around.

Now, I am looking for a solution for the glass algae.   How about some algae eaters like plecos, chinese algae eaters, otocinclus,....etc...etc   Is there any algae eater fish that doesn't eat daphnia ???

  I had problems keeping daphnia outside due to increased population of mosquitoes in my premises.   Thats why I stopped keeping daphnia outside.,   I would like to keep them outside, but just want to avoid mosquito larvae.

I know this maybe a foolish idea.....but still just need to get the facts right.   I would be happy even if I keep a single fish in it.

Thanks fluttermoth for the info.   But how about fishes in groups ?? I have about 20 parrot fishes staying well with each other. Even they are losing their color as per the background. I guess fishes are comfortable when they are in groups.   So why lose color when in comfort.....

40°C is the maximum temperature which doesn't mean the whole of summer. Just a few days here and there. The temperatures are high only during the afternoons. And also to add that night temperatures during summer would be around 30°C

    

sorry....I had created my profile in a hurry.   now, i have corrected my location in the profile.   I am in western part of India where the minimum temperature in winter is 12°C and maximum in summer is 40°C.   The fishes will be all year round. The tank has filter as well as aeration.

yes....there is filtration on both sides. java moss is an attractive option......but I have algae eaters like sucker plecos, algae eater, otocinclus. Just worried that these fishes may tamper java moss.....not sure though.
